Snake hunters have begun their annual 10-day hunt for invasive Burmese pythons in the Everglades ecological region on the southern tip of Florida, the AP reported.
The Florida Python Challenge was started 10 years ago“The Burmese python is an unfortunately very common species in much of South Florida’s natural habitat,” said Sarah Funk, a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission representative.
