At a press conference on Pützchens Markt on Sunday afternoon, the city gave a positive assessment of the first few days, but the number of visitors to the market area was not as high as expected. “For us, everything is running like clockwork,” said Kathrin Krumbach, the market manager. However, the first two days saw fewer visitors than last year, when there were around 1 million visitors as of the end of Sunday. According to the market office’s forecast, if Sunday is a good day this year, the number of visitors in the first three days could reach around 800,000.
