In the publication “What’s next for the Polish Accreditation Committee” (DGP 154/2024), lawyer Dr. Monika Kwiecień-Miland asks questions about the target operating model of this institution. Among other things, it covers: important issues of justifying the judicial and administrative responsibility of the PKA for its opinions or the desired expert profile. In my opinion, the issue of the unambiguity, precision and consistency of the requirements whose fulfillment is verified by the Polish Academy of Sciences by the university also requires closer examination. And this is also crucial to reduce the risk of corruption of the PKA’s opinion-issuing mechanisms.
