As we read on the website of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, the financing includes, among others: building insulation, use of heat recovery technology, connection to the heating network, installation of renewable energy sources and construction of energy storage facilities. The program also supports the use of modern energy management systems (BMS), the modernization of ventilation and air conditioning systems and the installation of remote reading devices that will allow individual settlement of heating or cooling costs.
An important condition for obtaining financing is to achieve a minimum primary energy saving of 30% as a result of the investment, with the exception of historic buildings to which other criteria may apply.
Funding applications can be submitted to October 25, 2024. Housing cooperatives, companies that carry out housing activities with the participation of the State Treasury, as well as energy service providers acting on behalf of these entities may apply for the funds, provided that they meet the criteria relating to the size of the project.
The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management predicts that thanks to the implementation of the program, more than 10 thousand Residential installations will achieve significant improvements in energy performance. These investments will not only help reduce heating costs for residents, but will also reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which is in line with the goals of sustainable development and environmental protection.
The program is part of a broader strategy by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management to promote energy efficiency and the sustainable use of natural resources.
