Plaud NotePin AI-Powered Wearable Note-Taking Device Launched: Price, Specs

Plaud NotePin, an artificial intelligence (AI) wearable device that can record anything said near it, is now available for pre-order. The company first gained fame on short-video platform TikTok with its AI-powered recording app. Now, it has introduced a wearable device that can be worn on a wrist strap, as a necklace, a tie clip, or in a variety of ways. The basic AI features are available for free, but users can also pay for an annual subscription for additional premium features.

Plaud NotePin Price, Subscription Plan

Plaud NotePin is priced at $169 (around Rs. 14,170) and is currently available for pre-order in the US. The basic AI features are available for free, but an additional $79 (around Rs. 6,620) will unlock advanced features like summary templates and speaker labeling, according to the company.

The wearable comes in Cosmic Gray, Lunar Silver, and Sunset Purple. Pre-order customers will also receive a bundle of accessories, unlimited cloud storage, and a free AI Advanced Membership.

Features of Plaud NotePin

The AI-powered NotePin measures 51x21x11mm and weighs 25g, according to the company’s website. It comes with 64GB of storage and runs on a 270mAh battery. The device also has two MEMS microphones. The NotePin also ships with a magnetic pin, a clip, a lanyard, a wrist strap, a charging dock, and a USB Type-C charging cable.

Once the conversations are recorded, the AI in NotePin transcribes the data, which can be saved in over 20 professional templates and several other custom template formats. The AI-powered software also generates a summary of the conversation to provide key discussion points.

Once the transcripts are saved, users can search and interact with these documents and directly search for the information they need. Users can prompt the AI device, and it can share data. It’s worth noting that while Plaud doesn’t have an internal AI model, it does offer users a choice of AI models from a catalog. The company revealed that both OpenAI’s GPT-4o and Sonnet’s Claude 3.5 are available, but other names weren’t mentioned.

Plaud says that despite the device being stored in the cloud, users will have full control over their data, as files are encrypted end-to-end. The company also says the device can record audio for 20 hours straight on a single charge and can stay on standby for 40 days.
