Finneas O’Connell says he believes he will only be appreciated as a musician alongside his sister Billie Eilish. “I’m somehow convinced that I don’t have any fans,” the 27-year-old told the 22-year-old pop singer amid shared laughter in a chat on the Countdown to podcast series.
Browder sees itself as an “expansion pack.”
“I feel like some of your superfans are so superfans that I’m the expansion pack,” O’Connell explains. “This is very beautiful,” he stressed. However, when someone tells him “I like your solo music,” he can’t believe it.
O’Connell’s second solo album, “For Cryin’ Out Loud,” will be released on October 4th. He now says the fact that the three sold-out concerts he planned to accompany his album release were “shocking” to him.
O’Connell has been writing his hit songs with his superstar sister for many years and is also her producer. The siblings have already won several awards together. Last March, they both won their second Oscars for the song “What Was I Made For” from the movie “Barbie.”
