Federal Police (matter), in collaboration with the Civil Police of Rio Grande do Sul, carried out an operation to dismantle a group suspected of illegal interference in the elections in Bagé (RS). The action carried out on Thursday (26) resulted in the arrest of three people.

The agents launched the operation after gunfire disrupted a Workers’ Party (PT) rally. The event took place in the Cohab neighborhood, on September 15. No one was injured in the shooting.
Arrests and search warrants in Rio Grande do Sul
In addition to the arrests, authorities executed 17 search and seizure warrants in the cities of Bagé and Santa Maria, in addition to the Charqueadas High Security Penitentiary. The police discovered that there was a criminal faction supporting the campaign of a certain candidate, whose name was withheld.
This support includes borrowing property to store campaign materials and securing election events. Agents recorded the activity on September 13.
Police found the gunman dead
Last Tuesday, the 24th, police found the gunman at the rally dead in the city of Itaara, central region of Rio Grande do Sul. The investigation showed that the murder was an attempt to burn an archive.
