Even with the sun hidden inside Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Sampaio summon the stars and consolidate his title hit song maker NO Rock in Rio 2024. DJ opens Sunset at Palco in the first moment of the second weekend festival, this afternoon Thursday (19)in a show full of choreography and celebrating her new album, which was just released “ASTRO”. Close to 15:30 afternoon, show Pedro Sampaio presented to the public as if it were a film from “Afternoon Session”. From the top of the pyramid that occupied the center of the stage, the artist wowed the audience with the hit song “POCPOC” which opened the show with sky-high energy.
Dressed in a sparkling blue costume, in keeping with her new astronomical era aesthetic, the artist spent most of her set with her synchronized corps de ballet, throwing herself into viral choreography of her hits. “PEDRIN,” “NO CHÃO NOVINHA,” “JOGA PRA LUA” and “DANCERINA” were highlights of the show, moments where the Sunset Stage environment felt like a dance floor.
As expected, the DJ also highlighted songs from his new album, such as “FAMA”, “QUINA DA CAMA” and “ESCADA DO PREDIO”. Mixed with his own hits, Peter also includes remixes of international hits, such as “Set Fire To The Rain”, by Adele e “Wake Me Up”, de Avicii.
“A few months ago, I landed in a small town on the coast of São Paulo and, that day, I don’t know, but I met a boy named Thiago. He was behind the airport fence and when he saw me, he started shouting, ‘Pedro! Young man! I’m a singer, let me sing’. I looked and said: ‘He says he’s a singer, so let him sing’. I want to share this story with you because it’s about a boy who loves to dream, just like I was, just like I am now, and just like you too. Never lose hope in your dreams,” he said.
