Parvathy on similarities between Irrfan Khan and Vikram: “Greatness will come…”

Mumbai:

Parvathy Thiruvothu, who shared screen space with Irrfan Khan in Qarib Qarib Singlle, spoke about the similarities the late actor shared with his Thangalaan co-star Vikram. At the Thangalaan press conference, Parvathy said, “It’s definitely the generosity that I see in both of them. Irrfan helped me with things because Hindi is not my mother tongue. He helped me get into that space.” The actor continued, “You’re as good as the next person on set… I think greatness comes from that saying about people not remembering what you might have said or given them. It’s about how you make them feel. That’s the similarity between Irrfan sir and Vikram.” “

At the event, Parvathy recalled how Vikram brightened everyone’s day on the sets by serving kamarkat, a traditional South Indian candy, on the sets of Thangalaan. “It’s called kamarkattu. It has jagged palm sugar… He just walks, shakes hands and suddenly you have a toffee in your hand. He just cheers everyone up… I miss everything toffee,” he added, quoted by PTI.

Praising Vikram’s leadership qualities, Parvathy said at the event, “Everyone is like ‘have you eaten or not?’ But (she asks) is worried about how everyone is doing. It was one of the toughest places, he was in our Thangala. He led the pack.”

Thangalaan, which released in the South on August 15, will release in North India and the Hindi version will hit the theaters on September 6. Produced by Green Studio, Thangalaan also stars Malavika Mohanan and British actor Daniel Caltagirone.
