Łukasz Ciszek won the silver medal in classical archery at the Paris Paralympic Games, while Patryk Chojnowski won gold in table tennis.
Łukasz Ciszek lost to Harvinder Singh in the final 0:6. The silver medal at the Paralympic Games is his greatest career success.
Ciszek, who finished sixth in qualifyingin the round of 16 she beat Jordana White (USA) 6:2, in the round of 16 against Tomohiro Ueyama (Japan) 7:3, in the quarter-finals against Lixue Zhao (China) 6:4 and in the semi-finals against Taymon Kenton-Smith (Australia) 6:2.
Patryk Chojnowski in singles final (MS10) defeated China’s Lian Hao 3:2 (12:10, 11:8, 7:11, 10:12, 12:10). This is the Polish player’s second title in Paris. Previously, he won in doubles with Piotr Grudzień in the MD18 category.
Chojnowski’s individual achievements at the Paralympic Games include gold medals won in London and Tokyo, and he won silver in Rio de Janeiro.
On Wednesday, the Polish team also had other reasons to be pleased. Natalia Partyka won the silver medal in table tennis in the 10th grade. In the singles final, she lost to Australian Qian Yang 0:3. On the other hand Rafał Czuper advanced to the final in the MS2 category after beating Korean Cha Soo-yong 3-1 in the semi-finals. The Pole faces Czech Juri Suchanek in the final on Thursday (1pm).
