New Delhi:

A popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is making headlines again, this time for actress Palak Sindhwani’s potential legal battle. Palak, who plays the role of Sonu Bhide, is reportedly facing legal action from producer Asit Kumarr Modi for allegedly violating an “exclusive agreement”. According to a Times of India report, the Production House Neela Telefilms behind the show is preparing to issue a notice to the actor. The issue is said to be due to his involvement in third-party endorsements and public appearances without prior written permission from the production house. However, Palak Sindhwani has denied these claims.

He told Moneycontrol: “It’s a rumour, I haven’t broken any contract. I’m shooting for Taarak tomorrow at 7 o’clock and I haven’t received a legal notice.”

Palak Sindhwani further explained that she had already informed the producer about the fake news that she claims is affecting her mental health during the intense shooting schedule of the show’s Ganapati episode. He said, “I informed him about the fake news that has been doing the rounds since last night and told him that it is affecting my mental health while I am shooting our sequence for TMKOC’s Ganapati series. I asked him to look into this. ASAP and clear the misunderstandings. It is really stressful , but I want to talk more about it, but I want to talk to the producer first, they will meet with me.”

This latest controversy adds to the series’ history of controversy. Earlier, actors like Gurucharan Singh and Sailesh Lodha accused the producer of unpaid dues, while Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal alleged mistreatment on the sets.
