Ewa Pajor, who plays for FC Barcelona, scored a goal and was named MVP in her team’s 2-0 (1-0) Gamper Cup victory over AC Milan.
The 27-year-old Pole, who joined the Catalan capital from VfL Wolfsburg ahead of this season, scored an 18th-minute winner, with Spain’s Alexia Putellas scoring the winner in the 90th minute.
The annual pre-season football competition, organised by FC Barcelona, pays tribute to the club’s founder, former player and president Joan Gamper. The men’s competition has been held since 1966 and the women’s competition since 1997.
