The traditional feast of Our Lady of Aparecida in Manaus begins next Thursday, October 3, and continues until the 12th, under the slogan “Mother of Aparecida, welcome us as pilgrims of hope.”
The novena in honor of the patron saint will be held from October 3 to 11, always at 7 pm on weekdays and at 6 pm on weekends.
The sanctuary’s parish priest, Father Amarildo Luciano, stressed the importance of creating a welcoming environment for worshipers, and lighting the space to reflect the light of Jesus.
On the twelfth, celebrations begin at 5:30 a.m. with a procession and blessing of vehicles. At 6 a.m., the first Mass of the day will be celebrated, followed by the formal celebration at 8 a.m. and Mass with the children at 10 a.m.
In the afternoon, there will be a Marian rosary, Mass and blessing of health, culminating in a procession and performances from 7:30pm in front of the sanctuary.
