Oppo Find N5 / OnePlus Open 2 Will Be Impressively Slim, Specs Leak Reveals

According to a now-deleted post from Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, Oppo’s next book-style foldable phone is coming soon. It will be called the Find N5, and it will be the successor to last October’s Find N3.

The company will likely skip the “4” due to tetraphobia. The Find N5 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. It will have a “2K+” foldable screen on the inside, a 50MP main camera with a Sony sensor, and a periscope telephoto lens and a circular camera island.

The phone will be just over 9mm thick, making it very close to the Honor Magic V3, the current record holder for the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone. Whether the Find N5 can take its title remains to be seen, but even if it doesn’t, being under 10mm thick for a foldable smartphone is still very impressive.

The Find N5 is also rumored to feature improved water resistance (its predecessor only had an IPX4 splash-proof rating) and a three-stage alert slider. The Find N5 is expected to launch between January and March. It’s likely it’ll launch only in China, with international markets calling it the OnePlus Open 2, in which case all of the above obviously applies to that model as well.
