We’ve been waiting for them for a while now, but the wait is almost over – the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 will be officially unveiled on August 20 (Tuesday next week). The event will take place at 1:00 PM UTC, which is morning in America, early afternoon in Europe, and evening in India, heralding a global launch.
You can check out the official landing page, which is rife with offers. For example, you can sign up to the OnePlus newsletter for a chance to win one of ten free pairs of headphones – and if you don’t win, you’ll get at least £10 off. You can also link your current OnePlus phone to your account and get an extra £10 off. You may be able to get an extra £10 off via the OnePlus Store app.
You might want to start taking advantage of those discounts, because there are rumors that the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 will be more expensive than their predecessors – the Buds Pro 2 cost €180, these will cost €200. The leaked specs detail a dual-driver setup (11mm woofers, 6mm tweeters), LHDC 5.0 codec (up to 1Mbps at 24-bit/192kHz), 50dB active noise cancellation, and an IP55 rating for the buds.

Leaked renders show the buds will retain the stem design but will have a new charging case where the stems will go into the case rather than lying flat. The unofficial renders show the buds and case in two colors: Midnight Opus (black) and Lunar Radiance (ivory), both with a leather-like texture on the case.
