Christian Dior’s runway show, showcasing the looks for next summer, was almost nostalgic. When you look at the backdrop, you can’t help but think of the Olympics, which ended with the Paralympics in Paris two weeks ago.
In the middle of the sky blue catwalk was a glass corridor with a target at the end. The show opened with an archer whose arrows flew past the models throughout the show without ever missing their target.
The collection itself is also sporty. Different swimsuits are seen worn with flat open-toed boots or knee-high Roman sandals. Biker jackets, stripes and black and white checkered patterns remind us of motorsports.
The show was disrupted twice by PETA activists, who mingled with the models with signs reading “F*ck Feathers” and “plucked bottoms” in front of stars like Jennifer Garner or singer Rosalia, who were sitting in the front row, walking down the catwalk.
