nubia Z60S Pro in review

The Nubia Z60S Pro smartphone has arrived at our office and we’ll be taking a closer look at it before giving it a detailed review.

Starting with the design, the Z60S Pro is inspired by vintage cameras with its massive camera island and red accents. It features a 35mm main camera with a new 50MP sensor alongside an 8MP telephoto lens (80mm) and a 50MP ultra-wide module (13mm). It also has a range of AI features, including Magic Eraser, a starry sky algorithm, and a 65:24 ultra-wide cinema format.

Our review unit comes in a classic black colour scheme with a textured back cover and a power button with red accents.

The retail packaging is surprisingly lavish for a phone from 2024. You get an 80W charger and a bright red USB-C cable, along with a semi-transparent case with a matte finish and the Nubia branding.

The Z60S Pro has a fairly large 6.78-inch AMOLED screen on the front, with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1200 nits.

The rest of the specs include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 AC chipset, also known as the “Galaxy Edition,” which has an overclocked main CPU and GPU. It’s paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. You also get a 5,100mAh battery, and we’ll be testing its durability in-depth.
