Almost 90 percent of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that transfer their employees’ personal data to external entities believe that they are adequately protected. However, 14 percent admit to sending subcontractors unencrypted emails with attachments without a password to access the file – reports the Personal Data Protection Directorate (UODO)
A study conducted by ChronPESEL.pl and the National Debt Register under the auspices of the Personal Data Protection Office shows that only 31 percent of respondents use double security – they use encrypted emails and additionally protect documents with a password.
