On Saturday evening, the IMWM issued level 1 thunderstorm warnings for the southern and eastern parts of the country. Dangerous weather can be expected in the Świętokrzyskie, Lesser Poland and Podkarpackie Voivodeships, parts of the Łódź, Masovian, Silesian, Opole and Lublin Voivodeships until Monday, August 19 at 07:30.
On Saturday, until early evening, the IMWM reported alerts of the third – highest – level in five poviats. From 22 However, IMWM has changed the alert level to level 1.
The warnings are valid from Sunday, August 18th, from 7:30 am until Monday, August 19th, until 7:30 am. Thunderstorms are forecast in the following voivodeships:
- Swietokrzyskie,
- Lesser Poland,
- Podkarpackie,
- parts of Łódź province,
- parts of Masovia,
- parts of Silesia,
- parts of the Opole province,
- parts of the Lublin province.
“The probability of precipitation is 80 percent, thunderstorms may be accompanied by precipitation of 20-35 mm, the expected wind speed is 70-85 km/h,” the IMWM reports.
