The Netflix streaming platform offers customers three types of subscription plans. As of today, the basic package costs PLN 29 per month, the standard package – PLN 43, and the premium package – PLN 60. Starting Wednesday, August 28th the cheapest Netflix package costs PLN 33 instead of PLN 29. The subscriber has access to all the library content on one screen at the same time, in HD quality (720p).
Most expensive plan Standard will cost PLN 49 per month. In this plan, we can watch Netflix on two devices at the same time in HD quality.
The most expensive Premium plan, with Ultra HD quality, HDR and Dolby Atmos sound and the ability to watch on four devices at the same time, costs seven zlotys more. After the increase, customers will pay PLN 67 per month for this..
For PLN 13, you will be able to add an additional user to your account. In the Standard plan – one, in the Premium plan – two. This means that in the most expensive subscription, viewers can watch content in three different households, and the price of the Premium plan for each of them will be PLN 31 per month. An additional user previously paid PLN 9.90 for access.
Each current viewer will receive information about the increases via email one month before the next billing period in which the new price will be applied. For new users, the price list will be available on the website.

There has been speculation about Netflix price increases for months
In February this year, analysts at UBS Securities wrote about a possible price hike for Netflix, noting that this should accelerate its revenue and profit growth. A few weeks ago, experts at investment bank Jefferies presented a similar analysis, claiming that this would happen in the last quarter of the year.
According to the results of the Mediapanel survey from July this year, 9.9 million Polish users used Netflix – that is, a third of all Polish Internet users. All of them spent an average of 5 hours, 34 minutes and 14 seconds on the platform, which translates into 52.24 percent. share of the total time spent using video streaming platforms.
The platform does not specify how many users it has in Poland.
Netflix in the second quarter of this year reached $9.56 billion in revenue, which, compared to $8.19 billion a year earlier, represents an increase of 16.8%.
At the end of June this year, Netflix had 277.65 million customers, 39.26 million (16.5%) more than a year ago. In the last quarter alone, this number increased by 8.05 million.
Since October this year, Netflix’s biggest competitor, Disney+, has also been changing its pricing. The Premium plan will cost PLN 49.99 per month and PLN 499.90 for 12 months. However, for the Standard package you will have to pay PLN 29.99 per month and PLN 299.90 if purchased for 12 months.
The Premium plan offers 4K and Dolby Atmos content and the option to play on up to four devices simultaneously. In the standard package, content is available in Full HD and in up to two simultaneous streams.
