Sao Paulo – A 27-year-old man was arrested on charges of robbing and assaulting a 17-year-old in Mongaguá, on the southern coast of São Paulo, on Thursday (September 19). After biting, punching and taking the victim’s cellphone, the victim was beaten by passers-by.
A video shows the suspect being slapped and kicked by two men, who call him “naughty”, “naughty” and “comedy”, as well as saying that he “touched the girl”. The suspect denies the allegations and groans in pain. (watch below).
The robbery took place on Tuesday (17/9). The teenager had just left school when she was approached by the man. He punched and kicked her until she fell to the ground. The young woman said she tried to defend herself and subdue the man, who retaliated by biting her arm. He then fled with her cellphone.
Witnesses witnessed the robbery and detained the man. They took a photo of the suspect and returned his phone to the teenager.
The man was arrested two days later, inside his home, in Praia Grande, a neighboring city on the coast of São Paulo. He confessed to police officers about the attempted robbery and assault on the teenager. The case was registered at the Mongaguá Police Headquarters.
