More than 8,000 agents, including civil and military police, will be on duty during the municipal elections in the interior and in the capital. The Security Plan has been submitted to the Regional Electoral Court (TRE) and everything is ready to once again guarantee calm during the elections, on October 6.

The PM himself will use 552 vehicles, including cars and motorbikes, in election-related activities.

A total of 8,005 security officers will be employed, 6,660 from the Military Police (PM), 1,000 from the Civil Police (PC), 275 from the Fire Brigade (CB) and 70 from the Scientific Police. The PM himself will use 552 vehicles, including cars and motorcycles, in election-related activities.

The hope of the Alagoas State Secretariat of Public Security (SSP/AL) is to repeat the success of the plan implemented in the 2022 elections, where voting took place smoothly and without complications.

The Secretary of State for Public Security, Flávio Saraiva, stated that the SSP had demonstrated its ability to guarantee calm at major events and, in this election, the same was true.

“We will once again demonstrate our efficiency in this great democratic event, as we did in the last elections. The government that invests the most in Public Security will employ more than 8 thousand agents. They will act according to the plan established by the company and approved by TRE. Once again we will ensure that this important moment for Brazilian democracy runs smoothly throughout the state”, assured Saraiva.

The Security Plan for the 2024 municipal elections was presented to the TRE in a meeting held on September 3, at the Court’s headquarters, located in the Farol neighborhood, in Maceió.
