Mouse creates chaos after sneaking into the plane; the plane makes an emergency landing

The presence of a mousewhich allegedly appeared in passengers’ food, forcing a aircraft from the Scandinavian airline SAS to land unexpectedly in Denmark, a company spokesperson reported this Friday.

The plane was flying from Oslo, the capital of Norway, to Malaga (Spain) on Wednesday when a stowaway was found on board and took it for a stopover in Copenhagen.

“In accordance with our procedures, there was a change of aircraft for inspection,” Øystein Schmidt, a spokesman for SAS in Norway, told AFP.

“This is something that is very rare,” he said.

The passengers also seemed to respond to the incident with humor.

“Believe it or not, a woman sitting next to me (…) opened her food and a mouse jumped out,” one of the travelers, Jarle Børrestad, posted on his Facebook profile with a photo with the two women, all smiling.

The passengers ended their journey to Malaga on another flight.

“We have established a protocol for this situation, which also includes a review with our suppliers to ensure this does not happen again,” Schmidt explained.
