Motorola launched the Moto S50 Neo in June, and as promised, the brand today unveiled the entry-level S50 model. The Motorola Moto S50 is powered by the Dimensity 7300 SoC, runs Android 14, and has 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
The smartphone is built around a 6.36-inch 120Hz LTPO pOLED display with a resolution of 2670 x 1272 pixels with HDR10+ support and 3000 nits peak brightness. The display also has a central punch-hole for the 32MP selfie camera and a fingerprint reader underneath for biometric authentication.
There is a triple camera on the back that combines a 50MP main lens (Sony IMX896, OIS), a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens (123° field of view), and a 10MP telephoto lens (3x optical zoom, OIS).
The Motorola Moto S50 is highlighted by a 4,310mAh battery with support for 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. The smartphone is also IP68-rated. If all this sounds familiar, that’s because the Motorola Moto S50 is a variant of the recently announced Motorola Edge 50 Neo , with the S50 being exclusive to China while the Edge 50 Neo is aimed at international markets.
