Twin girls have been missing since Saturday in Luxembourg. Luxembourg authorities indicated Tuesday morning that they had been found in Germany.

The double disappearance has worried the Luxembourg police. Last Sunday, September 22, a call for witnesses was launched to find the 7-year-old twin girls, who lived in an orphanage located in the southwest of Luxembourg. This Tuesday, September 24, the Prosecutor’s Office – the youth protection department – in the Luxembourg district indicated that the two young girls were “found safe in Trier”, in Germany, not far from the border.

“They were returned home on Monday evening, with the support of the German authorities,” the Prosecutor’s Office added, indicating it would not provide further information.
