– The current stage of organizing a pilot program for comprehensive care for a beneficiary with early arthritis (WZS) indicated the need to introduce changes to ensure its smooth running – justified the need for the amendment by the Ministry of Health.

The pilot program, for example, lacks a precise definition of the disease entities for which national guidelines for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures can be developed. The Department is concerned that this may lead to inconsistencies in program admissions for selected rheumatic diseases. Therefore, among others, it suggests adding appropriate disease diagnoses according to the current International Classification of Diseases and Health Problems.

In addition, the catalog of laboratory tests will be expanded, increasing their number from 71 to 89, which can be performed as part of WZS care, which will provide an opportunity to make an accurate diagnosis of the disease at an early stage. The number of consultations provided under the pilot program by a medical rehabilitation specialist will also be specified. ©℗
