Military Police crack down on property crimes in Complexo da Maré

The Military Police carried out an operation, since Monday (23) early morning, in the community of Complexo da Maré, to suppress crimes against property, such as theft of vehicles and cargo.

On Rua Teixeira Ribeiro, in Nova Holanda, police officers opened a vehicle cloning center. At the scene, evidence of the destruction of license plates, chassis and three motorcycles suspected of being stolen were confiscated. The collected items and the vehicles were taken to the headquarters of the Robbery and Car Theft Police Office (DRFA).

In Parque União, police officers found material potentially capable of committing fraud, such as a large number of credit cards, fake ID cards, smartphones, notebooks and card machines.

At the same location, officers seized a large quantity of drugs, including skanke, marijuana and white powder.
