New Delhi:

Salman Khan set the mood at the trailer launch event of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar’s documentary series Angry Young Men and how. The legendary screenwriters were joined on stage by their children Salman Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar. Recalling the duo’s favorite dialogue, Salman Khan added a funny twist when he said, “Mere paas maa hain (I have mothers)” and added, “Aur voh bhi do (and the number is two).” Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar couldn’t help but smile. The audience also burst into laughter. Salman Khan is the eldest son of Salim Khan and Salma Khan. Later Salim Khan married Helen.

At the event, Javed Akhtar praised Salman Khan and shared anecdotes from his childhood. Recalling the day he first visited Salim Khan’s Bandra house, Javed Akhtar said, “When I visited Salim sahab’s house for the first time, Salman was not even a year old. He looks so handsome now, but that is not what happened recently . Woh bachpan se hi khoobsurat (He was an exceptionally good-looking child). I don’t know if he still has it, the other children were born before me.”

Javed Akhtar then added that Salman used to be a quiet kid. “Interestingly, Salman is now a ‘He Man’, a ‘brisk hero’, but he was this shy boy, bohot hi kam bolne wala, bohot hi chupp chaap rehne wala bacchha tha (reserved and soft-spoken kid). He would sit quietly in a corner .” He then pointed to Arbaaz sitting in the audience and said, “Arbaaz was badmaash bacchha (notorious).

Angry Young Men is produced by Salman Khan Films, Excel Media and Entertainment and Tiger Baby with Salman Khan along with Salma Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti and directed by Namrata Rao. The docu-series is set to begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting August 20.
