Mayor Jânio Natal (PL) was re-elected this Sunday (6) in Porto Seguroin the south of Bahia. With 89.74% of the votes counted, he obtained 54.49% of the votes and will remain in office for a second term, with his vice mayor, Paulinho Tôa Tôa.

The candidate Cláudia Oliveira (PSD) came in second place, with 29.75%. Also participating in the election were the candidates Luigi (PSDB), who obtained 14.42% of the votes, Alyson Montezano (Novo), who obtained 0.93%, and Gabriella Borges – Nega da van (PSOL), last place, with 0.88%.

Jânio’s campaign promises included the construction of a hospital in Trancoso, the construction and renovation of school units, as well as a new bus station and a new airport.
