Mandakini took a trip down memory lane on Wednesday and shared a throwback photo with him Enemy actor Mithun Chakraborty. The two were rumored to be dating in the 80s. The photo he shared happens to be a glimpse from the track Hoton Pe Tumne Pyar Likha Hai. Mandakin, whose real name is Yasmeen Joseph, has over 120,000 followers on Instagram and shared a picture of the song Hoton Pe Tumne Pyar Likha Hai. In the still from the song, Mandakini in a yellow saree, Mithun hugs her from behind. He captioned the message: “Can you guess the song?”
One Instagram user commented on the post.”Hoton Pe Tumne Pyar Likha HaiAnother user added: “Old times.” 1990 movie Enemy directed and supported by Shakti Samanta.
In the 1980s, Mithun was at the peak of his fame, acted in numerous films and enjoyed immense popularity. Her on-screen chemistry with Mandakini was particularly well received, making audiences eagerly await their future collaboration. As they continued to appear in films together, rumors of a possible off-screen romance began to circulate.
In personal life, Mandakini married a Buddhist monk, Dr. Kagyur T Rinpoche Thakur. The couple has a son named Rabbil and a daughter Rabze Innaya.
He became a star in his leading role in the 1985 film Ram Teri Ganga Mile the film’s producer-director Raj Kapoor opposite his youngest son Rajiv Kapoor.
Mandakini has since acted in successful films such as Dance Dance with Mithun, Kahan Hai Kano With Aditya Pancholi and Pyaar Karke Dekho with Govinda. He has performed Jung Baaz, Sheshnaag and Taqdeer Ka Tamasha to name a few.
His last appearance on screen was in the 1996 film Zordaardirected by Ajay Kashyap. It also featured Govinda, Aditya Pancholi and Neelam in important roles.
