The Manaus City Hall responded to eight incidents on the night of Friday (27th), and early in the morning of Saturday 28th, through the 199th Municipal Civil Defense Center, which operates 24 hours a day at the headquarters of the City Cooperation Center (CCC).

The events included floods, erosion, roof collapses, and inspection requests, in the northern, eastern, central, and southern areas of Manaus, due to the rain that fell on the city on Friday night and Saturday morning.

The request was sent to the field teams of the Executive Secretariat of Civil Protection and Municipal Defense (Sepdec), linked to the Municipal Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (Semseg), which respond quickly to the affected areas.

Recommendations

If this happens, for immediate assistance, citizens can reach out by calling 199 (Civil Defense), at the City Cooperation Center (CCC), which operates 24 hours a day.

It is important to highlight that the weather system is dynamic and that the Manaus City Council will continue to monitor the forecast data to provide updates if there are significant changes. Stay informed and be prepared for possible weather changes.
