Civil police officers arrested, this Wednesday (26), Jefferson Santos de Oliveira, in the Centro de Queimados, in Baixada Fluminense, for reporting animal abuse.
Jefferson cut off the dogs’ ears and charged between R$300 and R$350. The procedure, called a conchectomy, was performed by him without having studied veterinary medicine.
In his statement, the prisoner stated that he learned the procedure by watching videos on YouTube and he also learned how to perform castration from videos on the internet.
Six French Bulldog dogs, called American Bully and Pomeranian Lulu, were seized, as well as surgical equipment, syringes, needles and sutures.
