Man killed after bar fight in Far-West of SC

Man killed after bar fight in SC was 44 years old.

A 44-year-old man, born in Paraná, died after being stabbed with a knife outside a bar in Palma Sola, in the western tip of Santa Catarina. The crime occurred last Sunday (22), in the René Damo district. He was rescued and taken to the city hospital, but he did not survive his injuries.

According to the Santa Catarina Military Police (PMSC) who were called to respond to the incident at the hospital, at around 11 p.m., one of the victim’s family members reported that there had been an argument between him and another man at a bar.

The two attempted to leave the scene by car, but before they could leave, a third person managed to stab the victim with a knife. Witnesses were unable to tell the military police who the attacker might have been.

The town is on the border with Paraná and the Paraná police were also informed of the incident, which is now being investigated by the Civil Police.
