A 29-year-old man was arrested this Friday (27), for failing to comply with protective measures against his 30-year-old ex-partner. The arrests were made in Estrada dos Caurés, in the Da Paz neighborhood, in the municipality of Barcelos, in the interior of Amazonas.
According to delegate Rodrigo Monfroni, from the 75th DIP Barcelos, after the relationship between the victim and the perpetrator ended due to domestic violence, protective measures were granted by the Court in February this year.
“On February 2, the perpetrator attacked the woman with punches and bites. He even threatened her with a knife and damaged her equipment. “Recently, the perpetrator started living close to his ex-partner and started threatening him, attacking the physical integrity of his family, if he moved to another location,” he said.
According to the delegation, this was represented by the preventive arrest of the man and was accepted by the Court. He was arrested at his residence.
The person will be responsible for non-compliance with the protective measures and will now be under the responsibility of the Court.
