In the dark Longing, Directed by Savi Gabizon, businessman Daniel tries to posthumously meet his son, whom he never knew existed.
Richard Gere plays on the larmoyante Longing Busy businessman Daniel, who can spend exactly 45 minutes chatting with his old flame Rachel (Suzanne Clément). Rachel has news: towards the end of their relationship she became pregnant, Daniel turns out to have been a father for 19 years without knowing it. And now his son is dead. Car accident. Daniel then descends from his New York apartment tower to meet his son posthumously.
The starting signal for a strange collision of deaf ideas, whose sexual dream of Daniel about the French teacher (Diane Kruger), for whom his son feels an obsessive love, does not contain even the greatest disgust. Nothing can match the hallucinatory moment when a plaintive Daniel tries to convince his son’s 16-year-old pregnant girlfriend to refrain from having an abortion. ‘This child must live!’
