Many pharmacies in North Rhine-Westphalia invite you to a “long vaccination night”. In participating pharmacies, citizens can get vaccinated against influenza and Corona until late in the evening, as announced by the pharmacists’ associations in North Rhine-Westphalia and Libya. It was said that the offer in pharmacies should complement vaccinations in doctors’ offices.

In the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, nearly 700 pharmacies that provide vaccinations in general are participating in the campaign. An incomplete interactive map of Germany for participating pharmacies, including other federal states, as well as some links to register for vaccinations, can be found at ange-nacht-des-impfens.de.

Pharmacies regulate themselves

More than 50 pharmacies in North Rhine-Westphalia have registered as participants so far. Pharmacies in Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Cologne, Wuppertal, Mönchengladbach, Münster, Hagen, Lodenscheid, Krefeld, Gütersloh, Bielefeld, Minden, Porta Westfalica, UNA, Kamin, Minden and Aachen include.

It is not known exactly how many pharmacies are participating in the “long vaccination night,” said a spokeswoman for the Westphalia-Libby Pharmacists Association. It is not necessary for pharmacies to register and organize themselves, and each pharmacy individually decides how long pharmacies will vaccinate. In some pharmacies, the vaccination appointment must be scheduled in advance.
