After a big mistake by Felipe Melo, Botafogo beat Fluminense 1-0, at the Maracanã, in the 27th round of the Brazilian Championship, and increased their lead at the top of the competition, reaching 56 points. Tricolor slumped into the relegation zone, in 18th place with 27 points.
