Lilli Schweiger: Apprenticeship as a carpenter strengthened her self-confidence

In her own words, Lilli Schweiger (26), daughter of actor Til Schweiger, has become stronger than her carpentry teacher. “This experience has strengthened my self-confidence, and it is very enriching to see in the end what you have created with your own hands,” she told Berlin’s “Bild” newspaper. However, she does not see her acting career ending. “I am always open to new and interesting projects,” she explains. Nevertheless, she wants to “continue working as a carpenter”.

According to Schweiger, the apprenticeship began in August 2020 in Berlin. “I think it’s great when you can make something with your hands,” he said at the time. In recent years, he has been fully focused on this, he said. “I have managed to finish it and am happy to help my family and friends.” He suspended his Instagram account during the break. “I needed some time for myself. If I feel like it again, I will post again.”

Lilli Schweiger landed her first film role in 2007 in the film “Keinohrhasen,” which was directed by and starred her father, among others. She most recently appeared in front of the camera for her father’s film “The Wedding,” which hit German theaters in 2020.
