Light workers were the subject of an attempted robbery while performing services near the Mesquita Viaduct, in Baixada Fluminense, this Wednesday morning (17). Two criminals with a motorcycle approached and tried to arrest the team.
However, the officers reacted quickly and accelerated the vehicle, dragging the criminals’ motorcycle as they fled.

A video circulating on social media shows the moment of action. Shortly after the incident, Security Presente agents arrived at the scene and managed to capture one of the criminals. However, the second robber managed to escape and is still being sought by the authorities.
In a statement, Light said that despite the scare, no employees were injured. After the incident, the team went to a nearby workshop and called the police, who responded quickly. The company confirmed that workers are doing well and there is no major damage other than what happened.
Police are continuing to investigate the case and are looking for the second suspect who fled.
