Comedian Kurt Krömer, who turns 50 in November, wanted to give himself a big birthday present. “Next week I’m going to start getting my driver’s license,” Krömer explained during a live recording of the 100th episode of the “Feelings” podcast in Cologne to cheers from the audience. “Then more people can kiss my ass.”
The Berlin-based entertainer, whose real name is Alexander Bojcan, has repeatedly stated in the past that he does not need a driver’s license. “There is always traffic where you want to drive. “I prefer to run for office,” he told the German Press Agency in 2011.
At 50, Krömer is apparently looking to make up for it. “Do you think if I were to talk about theory now and there were only young people there, they would think I was the teacher?” he asked his colleague Carolin Kebekus during the live show. When asked if he was already excited, the aspiring driver replied no. “I would do it automatically.”
The comedian and presenter is looking forward to his big birthday on November 20. “I have a great kissing attitude. Which I always have, but there is another update. A whole new operating system.”
Krömer recorded his podcast anniversary on Friday night in front of 350 people at the Volksbühne in Cologne. The episode will air on October 10th on various podcast platforms. It can be heard on Amazon Music a week earlier.
