Last fall, the National Broadcasting Council accepted Astro’s request to change the name of station 13 to WakacjeTv. However, “Thirteen” can still be watched on cable networks and streaming services, which mainly broadcast entertainment, music and automotive programs from the Next channels, which have been discontinued since 2015, and which were once created by the producer of “Familiada”.

The project behind the Holiday TV project is, among others, Zbigniew Adamkiewicz, former head of the Polish Agency for Television and Film Production. He announced that the channel’s offer will include interesting places to relax in Poland and around the world. The station’s programs should cover the most beautiful beaches, yachts, hotels, delicious regional cuisine and the most interesting monuments. The channel should show not only expensive ways to spend free time, but also those for every budget.

Dolce Vita TV will be launched first

Adamkiewicz assures that he has not given up on the WakacjeTv project, but he does not intend to launch it together with Astro. – We will not do this through Krajewski, that is, Astro. We do not want to start with bribery and a bad financial situation – he announces in an interview with Wirtualnemedia.pl.

In March this year, the producer of “Familiada” admitted to “Newsweek” that he had given PLN 350,000 to a person from TVP in exchange for a contract to produce the game show “Va banque”. In recent months, the star has also had to deal with a conflict between shareholders and the financial problems of the News24 channel.

In order for Adamkiewicz to apply for a license to broadcast WakacjeTv, the name must first be changed 13. – No such request was received. In October last year, they changed their name from 13TV to WakacjeTv – informs Wirtualnemedia.pl Teresa Brykczyńska, spokesperson for the National Broadcasting Council.

What does Adamkiewicz say about this? – I sent a letter to Ryszard asking him to change the channel name to 13 as soon as possible. The name WakacjeTv is reserved. We have not fulfilled our contract. Therefore, we are back to the previous state of ownership. We keep the trademark and the content, and Ryszard keeps his money, or lack thereof, and his channel. Wakacjetv will be produced by the same team as Dolce Vita TV. This will be a channel within the same parent company, but as a separate venture. If he does not change the name, we will file the appropriate application, as the name is registered and patented – assures Wirtualnemedia.pl.

In March, we reported that he is also working on the Dolce Vita TV channel, which will be dedicated to luxury living. The offer will include programs dedicated to fashion, jewelry, yachts, homes, spas and luxury locations. The license will allow broadcasting via satellite and cable networks. The broadcaster is awaiting a license from the National Broadcasting Council. According to Adamkiewicz, an appropriate decision may be made at the next meeting of the regulator.
