FOrum Economic in Karpacz is the largest meeting platform in Central and Eastern Europe, where we not only discuss security, economic development prospects, contemporary challenges and overcoming crises, but also present specific solutions and innovative ideas.
For over thirty years, the Forum has been a meeting place for people who have a decisive influence on the fate of Poland, Europe and the world. This year, 6,000 people will take part in the event. Participants include presidents, heads of government, ministers, politicians and local government officials, company presidents, cultural figures, renowned scientists, opinion-forming journalists and representatives of non-governmental organizations. The organizers have planned 350 debates and 6 plenary sessions. In addition, there will be numerous panel discussions, special events, workshops, press conferences, galas and concerts.
AI powers the world
One of the highlights of this year’s event will be the AI Forum, organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Digitalisation and leading Polish universities. Discussions will focus on the impact of artificial intelligence on society and the public and commercial service sectors. Participants will consider how investments in AI research and technologies can help the European Union rebuild competitiveness and ensure security.
There will also be room for discussion on the war in Ukraine and its consequences, the new global balance of power and the opportunities offered by EU funds. Migration will also be a major topic during the event. This is one of the biggest challenges facing the Western world. A permanent and annual feature of the conference is the Health Protection Forum, which brings together the most important figures in the medical sector. It is a platform for discussion on health issues from an economic perspective, with the participation of all stakeholders in the health sector in Poland and Europe. As every year, a report from the Warsaw School of Economics and the Economic Forum on the state of the economy in Poland and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe will also be presented.
The seventh edition of the report consists of 12 chapters and covers, among others: issues such as: the development trajectories of Central and Eastern European countries in 2004-2023, income disparity and quality of life of families in Central and Eastern Europe, the impact of tax reforms on the income of local government units in Central and Eastern European countries, in the context of their ability to influence the social and economic development of the region.
Another highly anticipated moment is the awards granted by the Forum Program Council in the categories: Personality of the Year, Company of the Year and Non-Governmental Organization of the Year.
