Mumbai:
Bollywood superstar Kajol paid homage to the legendary Madhuri Dixit by donning a stunning purple saree reminiscent of the iconic look from the 1994 film. Hum Aapke Hai Koun.
Kajol’s outfit was a heartfelt tribute to the unforgettable Didi Tera Devar Deewana a song that celebrates the timeless elegance and lasting impact of Madhuri’s charm. The saree had golden designs and border and the pleats showcased shades of wine and green.
Kajol shared the look with her 17.3 million Instagram followers and posted a series of pictures. She accessorized the saree with nude lips, highlighted cheeks, open hair and a golden necklace. The ensemble closely mirrored Madhuri’s attire from the classic song.
Kajol wrote in her Instagram caption: Hum Aapke Hai Kaun… Ode to OG Madhuri Dixit #didteradevardeewana #saree.”
Last year, Kajol shared a detailed post dedicated to the ‘village of women’ who raised her on Teachers’ Day. The Dushman actor shared a montage video of his interviews (which were given at different times) where he talked about his mother (Tanuja), grandmother (Shobhna Samarth) and great grandmother (Rattan Bai) and how they influenced his life. An excerpt from the video post said: “I always knew my mom wasn’t on my side. She told me very early on that if I fell, she’d have my back, but I had to endure the pain and I had to learn my lesson.” In another slide, Kajol said, “My mom never picked me up from school. However, she said that if she chose, she would love to pick me up, but she had work to do.” Look:
