This is a decision made by the District Inspector for Building Supervision after an inspection of the building on ul. Kraszewskiego – said the city’s mayor Jacek Jaśkowiak. Fire and explosion in a residential building on ul. Kraszewskiego 12 in Poznań occurred on the night of Saturday to Sunday. During the operation, 11 firefighters were injured and two were missing.

With regard to tenement house no. 13, Wiśniewski explained that for security reasons it is not possible to enter the tenement houses from the front and tenement house no. 13 does not have an entrance from the back of the building. When such a passage from the back of the building can be made available (for example, through a hole), residents will be able to return to their apartments.
He added that it is not known when tenants in buildings 10b and 14 will be able to return to their apartments.
Wiśniewski noted that residents of buildings excluded from use they receive assistance from the city. He added that residents of these slums who have not done so up until now can still apply for housing assistance.
The fire on Kraszewskiego Street started on the night of Saturday to Sunday. The report concerned a fire in the basement. A smoke detector installed in one of the apartments alerted a resident. The first police units arrived at the scene a few minutes later, before midnight.
However, the situation was complicated by explosions (probably two) that occurred during the operation carried out by firefighters.
After these explosions, the fire quickly spread to all floors and also to the roof of the neighboring building. The moment of the explosion was recorded by one of the Poznań residents.
