The city of Itaparica will once again be the stage for one of the most important maritime events in Bahia, the Spring Regatta, considered the second largest in the state in terms of the number of sailboats and navigators. Organized by Saveiro Clube da Bahiawith the support of the municipality of Itaparica, the regatta will take place this Saturday (12) and promises to promote the region and attract yachting enthusiasts to enjoy a spectacle of boats sailing in the waters of Todos-os-Santos Bay. The start will take place at 12:00 in Ponta do Humaita, El Salvador, with the sailboats expected to arrive in Itaparica from 15:30.

In addition to competition, the 47th edition of the event will also include a varied program. From 9 am, on Green Bay Eco Awning with Ocean Culture promotes activities aimed at sustainability, such as composting and beach cleaning workshops, held at Praia do Forte de Itaparica. In the Marina, at 6 p.m., the public will be able to enjoy themselves musical performances by Nanda Ribeiro and Alexander Leao. The event, which is free and open to the public, also promotes environmental awareness with educational actions and a commitment to zero waste.
