“More than 30” people including “nine children” were injured in the bombing of Al-Zaytoun C school in Gaza City (north), he added, stressing that the school hosts thousands of refugees from the war between Hamas and the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip since October 7.
“Targeted attack,” according to the IDF
The army said in a statement that it had “carried out a targeted strike against terrorists operating inside Hamas’ command and control center in Gaza City”, saying the target was “inside the Al-Falah School, adjacent to the Al-Zaytoun School building. Al-Zaytoun School C was hit, a journalist at the scene said.

Other schools in the Gaza Strip have been targeted in recent months by the Israeli army, which accuses Hamas of harboring fighters in school buildings where thousands of Gazans have taken refuge, something the Palestinian movement denies.
