– I hereby inform you that the Strefa Solidarności Foundation and TVP SA are in liquidation signed today an agreement regarding the transfer of the Belsat website domains and the graphic design rights of the vot-tak.tv website – Mateusz Adamski, representative of the Foundation, told Wirtualnemedia.pl.
And he added: It happened after TVP fulfilled a fundamental condition from the Foundation’s point of view, which was the submission of content agreement, a statement with the following content: “The Television declares that its intention is to continue the mission of Belsat Television as an independent and objective media outlet that protects democratic values and that, in particular, all audiovisual material produced so far, owned by the Television, which was available on the Belsat.eu and vot-tak.tv websites will also be available after the migration of the above-mentioned domains to Telewizja before August 1. The Television further declares that the resources that will be migrated will serve to continue the implementation of Belsat’s mission, namely the creation of journalistic content by Belsat’s editorial teams and the provision of independent information to recipients in Belarus and other Russian-speaking countries of the former USSR, while maintaining their current functionalities and free access of recipients to the archives of both of the above-mentioned websites.
TVP and Strefa Solidarności Foundation reached an agreement on domains
We previously reported that the Strefa Solidarności Foundation sent TVP a draft of the agreement. “We will transfer the domains free of charge in the most formal way possible, with mutual consent,” Mateusz Adamski told us.
The Foundation representative now added: “Together with the Belsat beneficiaries, we are eagerly awaiting the restoration of the functioning of the belsat.eu and vot-tak.tv websites with all their functionalities, stressing once again that the current one, which has been in force since August 1 of this year, the interruption in its availability was in no way caused by the current owner of the domains, namely the Strefa Solidarności Foundation.
As we reported, Belsat Television websites: belsat.pl, belsat.eu and Vot-tak.tv stopped working on Thursday, August 1st this year. am. The broadcaster’s staff quickly stressed that they had nothing to do with this failure. Telewizja Polska stressed that it never owned the domains on which Belsat’s websites operate. “The decision to register the above-described domains in entities separate from TVP SA was taken by the previous management of Belsat Television,” TVP said.
The company said it was holding “discussions to obtain access to the above-mentioned domains, including from the Strefa Solidarności Foundation, which owns the belsat.eu domain.” It also announced that it would “take appropriate legal action in relation to the above situation.”

– We will do our best to resolve the issue, despite the fact that we were very inelegantly and simply unfairly blamed by TVP for what happened – that Belsat’s services were down. TVP’s message contained untruths. It is easy to see that the problem does not concern the domains, we have not taken any measures in relation to them. The problem is related to the availability of servers, and these are beyond the resources of the Foundation – said Mateusz Adamski.
On Friday the 14th Belsat websites were still not working.
