Infinix recently launched the Hot 50 5G with a 7.8mm thin body, but we may see an even thinner device soon. According to live photos on Passionategeekz.com, the phone could be 6mm thick and have 2.5D curved sides.
If the information turns out to be true, it will be the thinnest non-foldable smartphone since the Tecno Camon 11 series, launched in 2018.
Unnamed Infinix phone
The Infinix device (unnamed) was placed next to an iPhone, which clearly shows how incredibly thin the device is, even if the photo isn’t the best in quality or size.
Smartphone devices are expected to get thinner, at least at the base, after companies began adopting new silion-carbide battery cells. The new solution offers a large mAh capacity but sacrifices ultra-fast charging, which is apparently less appealing to users than manufacturers had hoped.
