The GIF explained that the presentation and indications of the products “Warming Amfor” and “Cooling Amfor” aresuggest a healing effectbecause it is claimed to have anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and analgesic properties, which is inconsistent with the definition of cosmetic.
The product description for “Hemp Amphora” suggests that it has properties for the prevention or treatment of human diseases, or can be used to diagnose, restore, improve or modify the physiological functions of the body through pharmacological, immunological or metabolic effects.
The announcement emphasized that the product descriptions on the websites contain indications attributed to the drugs, so they should have a valid marketing authorization, but were sold as cosmetics.
Product recall
The GIF emphasized that only medicines that have undergone a positive safety evaluation and are properly labeled can be sold and used, and their purchase is permitted only from authorized sources.
Decision on product recalls was given immediate applicability.
