Commissioned by ZET Radio, IBRiS asked participants to say whether they agree with the statement that Polish law should include the concept of “road killing” for drivers who cause fatal accidents while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

More than half of respondents (56.1%) “strongly agree” with this statement. Other 28.5 percent “I agree with that.” The answer “somewhat disagree” was chosen by 10.4 percent. Checked by IBRiS. Political preferences do not matter in a “road kill” case.
The Poles want to introduce the concept of “road killing” into Polish law, regardless of political preferences. Among current opposition voters, 86% chose the phrase “strongly agree.” Participants 7 percent “I tend to agree.” In the group of people who voted for PiS and CNT, 47 percent of respondents “strongly agree” with this idea, and another 46 percent said “I strongly agree.”
The survey conducted by the Institute for Market and Social Research IBRiS and commissioned by ZET Radio was conducted from 27 to 28 September 2024 using the CATI method on a national sample of 1,100 people.
